The Post Graduate Certificate in Managing Practice Quality in Social Care, commonly called the Team Manager Development Programme (TMDP) is a unique national programme delivered across Wales and aimed at frontline managers and senior practitioners or those who aspire to those positions. The programme was commissioned by the Social Services Improvement Agency (SSIA) and is delivered by the Institute of Public Care at Oxford Brookes University in partnership with the University of Glamorgan and Research in Practice.The overall aims of the TMDP are to:•Help managers develop an in-depth understanding of the key drivers influencing social care policy and practice in Wales•Support the development of critical thinking skills to improve case management decisions•Provide managers with a range of tools and techniques to improve the quality of practice within their teams by building and sustaining positive culture and professional behaviour
