The Legal & Risk (L&R) Service, are looking for a contract is to provide the NHS in Wales with sufficient information to determine whether the existing arrangements with regards to insurance cover meet the following criteria:•Effective provision of care in Wales•Meets the needs of the future recruitment and retention of GPs for the whole of Wales•Financial sustainability•Value for money•Evidence of collaboration and innovation between GPs and Health Boards/TrustsThe contractor will be expected to engage with General Practitioners Committee (Wales) , Health Boards/Trusts and, indemnity providers in the production of the report. This will be by way of the following:• Meetings with Health Boards and NHS Trusts to assess the impact of recruitment and retention of GPs in Wales•Discussions with GPs and GP specialty trainees on the implications of the costs of insurance•Discussions with industry experts on insurance products and their applicability to GP practice•External reports from professional regulators (ABI, GMC,)Note: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
