Corporate Health and Safety of Caerphilly County Borough Council, has the requirement for a suitably qualified provider to inspect the Design and Technology (D & T) equipment within secondary schools.The Authority currently has eleven (11) maintained schools that require an annual inspection of their Design and Technology equipment.The inspection reports need to highlight an inventory of all relevant equipment and LEV extraction on the school site.Inspection officers must be to be registered with Gas Safe and be NICEIC Qualified. Furthermore the Officers must have experience of working within schools, able to supply references of working within a school environment and provide quality guarantees and warranties. Evidence of any accreditations or membership to any professional bodies must be supplied as part of the tender submission.The procurement process for this arrangement will follow a two-stage, Open Procedure.Stage One - Selection Stage - shall consist of Pass / Fail questions.Stage Two - Award Stage - All Service Providers that successfully pass all elements of the selection stage will progress on to the Award Stage.
