Integrated Offender Management (IOM) — Commissioned Service for Substance misusing Service Users.

Descriptions

IOM aims to reduce the risk of individuals re-offending and includes addressing drug and alcohol dependency of certain Service Users. Research has shown that the best way to do this is to adopt a holistic approach that targets support services around the 7 pathways outlined by the National Offender Management Service (NOMS). The 7 pathways are comprised of the following areas:— Education, training and employment support services,— Accommodation and support services,— Health support services,— Drugs and alcohol support services,— Finance and benefits support services,— Children and families support services,— And attitudes, thinking and behaviour support services.
