Tender for the supply, delivery, commissioning, user training, and servicing of a 4 axis air-bearing translation system.We seek to acquire a 4 axis air-bearing translation system to extend the University of Southampton's optical materials processing capabilities for a number of high-impact projects in the major engineering theme of Quantum Technologies. This system will be integrated into existing lab facilities in the Optoelectronics Research Centre at the University of Southampton and will be used to expand the breadth of our manufacturing capabilities to stimulate new research ties across academia and industry via the EPSRC Quantum Hub initiative. The acquisition of this system will enable university researchers to optically process materials with sub-nanometre accuracy.To help bidders assess at the outset if this is suitable, the high level assessment criteria are 75 % quality / 25 % price.
