The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership, hosted by Velindre NHS Trust are acting on behalf of Cardiff and Vale University Local Health Board who are seeking to establish an interim contract for the provision of a short stay unit in a Nursing Home setting for up to a maximum of 6 beds until the 31st March 2019 in support of its Winter Care Plan. The interim contract is required for urgent alternative arrangements.The unit is aimed at providing an alternative to hospital admission for those patients who do not require the services of an acute hospital and to facilitate a timely discharge from hospital, where a period of approximately 14 days reablement/convalescence is required.NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
