The specific requirements for this interim role should be read in conjunction with the job description for the permanent role, which provides context and a broader understanding of the activity. Role is based in Birmingham. Skills: •Advanced PowerPoint in office 2013; •Copy writing and editing in line with house styles – able to write for internal and external; •Strategic big picture approach - common sense to identify potential clashing messages or “banana skins”; •Report writing; •Familiarity with employee surveys and experience in analysing and reporting these; •Analysis skills for qualitative data/written feedback - thematic analysis; and •Familiarity with concept of employer brand and EVP. Tasks: Heartbeat people survey: •Work with Senior Analyst – carry out analysis of Heartbeat qualitative data; •Write the reports and create all relevant appendices - for sign off by Senior Associate – Employee Engagement and Internal Communications; •Produce the cover reports for Senior Leadership Team – as above; •Produce the slides for the directors' briefing to publish the results – as above; •Work with Senior Associate – SharePoint, to publish information on Intranet – as above; and •Preparation of the 2016 Pulse surveys – as above. Daily bulletin: •Get up to speed quickly with the internal tone of voice and style; •Write key messages as directed by senior associate; •Edit messages landing in the inbox into internal voice; •Produce the press cuttings summary and distribute; •Work with internal support team on daily production; •Flag up clashes or potential “banana skins” to Senior Associate - Employee Engagement and Internal Communications; •Suggest content for the intranet home page ‘slider’ – to Senior Associate – and work with SharePoint to update it; and •Suggest content for glass wall displays – to senior associate – and update them. Employer brand project: •Work with the project team, external suppliers and other Ofwat people to develop employer brand content; •Manage the delivery of the communications engagement plan for the project – liaise with project manager and Senior Associate - Employee Engagement and Internal Communications; •Act as production assistant for filming and photography events, ensuring that they run smoothly and that we maximise the effectiveness of the external suppliers' time; and •Review and editing content for use on new Ofwat job pages – for sign off by Senior Associate - Employee Engagement and Internal Communications; Other internal comms activity •On a needs basis, as directed by Senior Associate - Employee Engagement and Internal Communications, work with colleagues to deliver ad hoc comms for their projects; and •Support to directors’ briefings as directed by Senior Associate - Employee Engagement and Internal Communications.
