Intermediate Care Beds Service- Harrow

NHS Harrow Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) wishes to commission 59 sub-acute and rehabilitative beds for the delivery of intermediate health care as part of a comprehensive package of step-up/step-down care for patients across Harrow. The intended patient's outcomes for the service are: •To promote independence by providing rehabilitation and care within the most appropriate setting; •To promote good health and wellbeing; • To avoid unnecessary/inappropriate admissions to hospital, residential or long term care; •To promote timely recovery from illness or injury; and • To facilitate timely hospital discharge from any acute service setting. The contract duration will be two years, with one optional extension for up to two years. It is intended that the new service will commence from 1st June 2017. The anticipated annual value is c.£5.4m, with the total value of the contract for the full potential 4 years is c.£21.6 million. The Services to which this Procurement relates fall within Schedule 3 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (the "Regulations"). As such, the procurement of the Services is being run as a bespoke, single-stage application process akin to the Open Procedure. Harrow CCG does not intend to hold itself bound by any of the Regulations, save those applicable to Schedule 3 services. This opportunity is also being advertised in OJEU.
