Provision of interpretation and translation services to Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, specifically:— Face-to-face interpretation;— Telephone interpretation;— British Sign language interpretation;— Written translation.The requirement is for qualified interpreters who understand health terminology as well as interpreters with specialist mental health terminology/knowledge of mental health interpretation who can cover the wide range of languages spoken in Berkshire. Languages required include Urdu, Punjabi, Polish, Bengali, Mandarin, Arabic, Nepali, Spanish, Tamil, French, Russian, Albanian, Hindi, Hungarian, Italian, Pashto, Swahili, Thai, Vietnamese, Czech, Kurdish, Romanian, Cantonese, Somali, Bulgarian, Dari, Amharic, German, Greek, Latvian and Turkish among others.Face-to-face interpretation takes place predominantly in the Slough and Reading areas with some requirement in Newbury, Bracknell, Wokingham and Windsor and Maidenhead. This service is bookable in advance with the occasional need for short-notice bookings (within 24 hours). We would like one provider for the West of Berkshire and one for the East of Berkshire or one provider covering the whole of Berkshire.Telephone interpretation, British Sign language interpretation and written translation are offered as Berkshire-wide services.
