Inverness west link stage 1 and canal parks enhancement — advanced works.

Descriptions

Advance enabling works for the Inverness West Link Stage 1 and Canal Parks Enhancement project comprising tree clearance, fencing works and public utilities services diversions, incorporating major diversions relating to Scottish Water, BT, Scottish and Southern Energy, Scottish Gas and including associated traffic management on the A82 Trunk Road, General Booth Road, Bught Rd, Bught Drive, and Bught Lane.A temporary road closure traffic order will be available during the Works period that will permit the closure of the north end of Bught Road, and the A82 as part of the traffic management arrangements that the Contractor will be required to undertake for the works north of the River Ness.The works will be located at four separate locations, 3 north and 1 south of the River Ness.Scottish Water require a 450 mm, 150 mm and a 63 mm water main to be diverted and Morrison Construction have been engaged by them to undertake these works. The Contractor will be required to programme and provide access onto the Site to permit Morrison Construction to carry out these works.The BT, SSE, SGN diversionary works will require general coordination with service authorities, as well as trenching, cabling, ducting, associated reinstatements and chamber works for these utilities.
