Bangor University needs to replace its core data network equipment, which is no longer supported by Cisco. The University seeks to replace the Core with Cisco equipment. This is due to the University’s in-house expertise with Cisco, the reliance of the network on several proprietary Cisco features, and the compatibility with the current Cisco access switches.This competition is open only to suppliers on the the JSL Routing and Switching Framework Agreement in Lot 4,it will be run using the rules of this agreement, and any contract will include all terms and conditions required for contracts made under this agreement.NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at http://www.sell2wales.gov.uk/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=41339.The buyer has indicated that it will accept electronic responses to this notice via the Postbox facility.
