AHDB is seeking tenders from suppliers interested in providing on-farm ultrasound scanning for fat and muscle depth of sheep and a small number of beef cattle, The overall objective of this tender is to deliver a fat and muscle depth scanning service to sheep farmers in England and Wales, scanning 25-35,000 animals per annum through a team of technicians travelling to client breeders’ farms, with the geographical distribution being broadly as outlined in the introduction above. , For clarity, service provision in Scotland and Northern Ireland is not included in this tender., AHDB’s intention is to award a contract to one or more providers to roll out these services across England and Wales.
