Great Maplestead Parish Council invites you to submit tenders for 3 phases of a project to renovate and redevelop its community playing field. -Dismantle & clearance of the existing playground and preparatory works -Supply & installation of new children's playground equipment -Supply & installation of a new access-for-all perimeter pathway & exercise track It is hoped that each Tenderer will be able to provide a quote for all 3 phases however, quotations for individual phases may be considered. The playground equipment should cater for the broadest age range & be accessible to children of all levels of physical & mental ability and comply with Disability & Discrimination Act (DDA) requirements. The play equipment should be innovative & naturalistic in design, to both complement & enhance its rural setting. Design and construction should be predominantly from natural wood. The access for all pathway & exercise track should provide level, unobstructed access to all areas of the field and be DDA compliant. It should be durable and robust to withstand regular use from walkers/exercisers & those with mobility aids, pushchairs, mobility scooters etc. The play equipment & pathway will be expected to meet appropriate British Standard (BS) levels of manufacture. Warranties should be provided with the tender response and will be an important part of the evaluation process. Full details may be found in the attached document.
