ITQ-HSIB-0122-249 SIRch training and development of a HSIB user guide
Descriptions
About HSIB The Healthcare Safety Investigations Branch (HSIB) conducts independent investigations of patient safety concerns in NHS funded care across England. Most harm in healthcare results from problems within the systems and processes that determine how care is delivered. Our investigations identify the contributory factors that have led to harm or the potential for harm to patients. The safety recommendations we make aim to improve healthcare systems and processes, to reduce risk and improve safety. We work closely with patients, families and healthcare staff affected by patient safety incidents, and we never attribute blame or liability. To find out more about us please click here. Our requirements We use a Safety Investigation Research Framework (SIRch), that we have developed, to thematically analyse the reports of our investigations to amalgamate and consolidate learning for patient safety. We wish to provide training and supporting materials to operationalise this SIRch framework more widely across HSIB. We require support to : • Establish a training package that is initially developed and evaluated using 20 members of HSIB staff and addresses all users' requirements and meets the general competences set out below. • This package should establish resources that can subsequently and independently be used in the future across the organisation's investigators and analysts - currently approximately 170. • The development of a user guide to support the coding by staff of their reports. The deadline for receipt of Suppliers' proposals is 3pm Friday 4th February 2022. Late submissions will not be accepted therefore, please submit in good time prior to the deadline. The Contracting Authority requests that all communications are channelled through the e-portal system and not with the Contracting Authority itself other than as expressly permitted within this ITQ. PLEASE NOTE: Any contract award is subject to the approval of a business case by the NHSEI Commercial Panel. If approval is not given the procurement exercise may need to be cancelled. All potential suppliers agree to engage with the procurement process and submit a proposal solely at their own cost. To express interest and access the Invitation to Quote (ItQ) documentation please use the link below and view live opportunities: https://health-family.force.com/s/Welcome Should Suppliers have any queries, or are having problems using the portal, they should contact the Helpdesk on: Phone: 0800 9956035 or E-mail: support-health@atamis.co.uk
