Descriptions
The Marine Institute requires a suitable HAPS system to provide IMO approved heading input with full redundancy to its bridge Navigation systems and Heading, MRU and Positioning input to its Dynamic Positioning system, (DP1) and position , Roll , Pitch and heave information to its suite of acoustic equipment including Mutibeam echsounders, Single beam fisheries echsounder, Fisheries sonars , USBL system, Active heave compensation in winch systems and general science requirement including vessel underway data acquisition.
