Jersey General Hospital are looking for Bedside Cabinets and Overbed Tables, which need to meet the following specification:— Material should be durable, wipe clean plastic that reduces the number of hard to reach corners e.g. rotationally molded plastic.— Surface must be able to withstand the use of Hypochlorite Solution and tolerate Hydrogen Peroxide Vapourisation.— There is to be no wood designed into the furniture.— Furniture should be easily moveable and ‘light’ to allow staff to turn over for thorough cleaning.— Ideally, wheels should be able to be removed to ease the cleaning process (although this is not essential).— There should be no ‘exposed screws’ anywhere on the design.Bedside Cabinets Specific— There should be a large enough space for patient belongings.— There are to be no locks on the cabinet.— Wheels should have a brake on them.Overbed Tables Specific— There is no requirement for tables to be tilted/folded.— Tables should have a raised lip to contain spillages.
