As part of the Henry Royce Institute for Advanced Materials, the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at The University of Sheffield would like to purchase an indentation-based mechanical property assessment system, capable of probing a range of mechanical properties and behaviours on a scale appropriate to developmental materials of all types (specimens of the order of 10s of grams, on a length scale of a few mm). This indentation platform is to support the materials discovery strand of the Henry Royce theme. This procurement is an EU open procedure.
