Within The Heads of the Valley area there has been a strategic project, named 'JobMatch', running for the last 3 years which engages with disadvantaged clients and moves them from inactivity into economic activity by providing opportunities for training, volunteering, work experience, employment and career development. The project was previously developed and piloted in Blaenau Gwent and was approved for rollout across the Head of the Valley area. This contract is for the delivery of JobMatch services across Rhondda Cynon Taf, Powys and Bridgend.This contract is split into 3 geographical lots: - Lot 1 - Rhondda Cynon Taf Area- Lot 2 - Powys Area,- Lot 3 - Bridgend Area.Providers can bid for either 1, 2 or all 3 lots. Attached to the PQQ on the exchange wales website is an instruction to tenderers which gives further details of each Lot and the requirements. Please refer to this documents before making an expression of interest.Under this Service the Contractor is required to participate actively in the economic and Social Regeneration of the locality and surrounding the place of delivery for the Service. Accordingly contract performance decisions may relate in particular to social and environmental considerations.Currently funding is available to for Lot 1 until March 2011, however annually there will be reviews as to the continuity of the service, and subject to satisfaction with the delivery and funding being available from the sponsoring bodies there may be an opportunity to extend this contract further.Lot 2&3 have funding until March 2013.There is a bidders event on the 25th January 2010 at 10am in Merthyr Tydfil to give all bidders the opportunity to discuss the tender process.
