Descriptions

Works are required to improve the accessibility of the Kett's Height open space in Norwich so that the space can be enjoyed by all. By carrying out this work, it would make the site accessible for people who are unable to use the stairs. The scope of the contract includes installation of ramped access path from Ladbrook Place and resurfacing and refit of the step path from Kett's Hill entrance. The materials required for the project will need to be transferred from the car park to the construction area in a safe and effective way (crane/other equipment/other method). Also, as there is a gas main pipe on site the winning contractor will also have to work alongside Cadent Gas who will be overseeing the project. Please download tender documents and upload completed tenders using the link: https://in-tendhost.co.uk/norwich/aspx/Home (please note that this Contract Notice has been amended on 02/08/2023 as the council have removed the mandatory requirement for a crane to lift the materials and will consider other safe and effective alternatives. The tender timescales have also been extended by one week in order to accommodate the changes.
