The Conwy Rural Partnership (CRP) was formed in early 2000 and arose from the first meeting of the Conwy Rural Forum. The Partnership’s role was to co-ordinate & develop initiatives that supported or benefited rural communities. An Action Programme was created in September 2000 supporting a variety of rural projects.The CRP has since evolved & strengthened itself to lead on the local implementation of the Rural Development Plan (RDP) for Wales 2007-2013 & the wider coordination of rural development activities. It has equal representation of the public, private, community & voluntary sectors with an interest in rural Conwy.Conwy Rural Partnership is one of the 18 Local Partnerships in Wales who submitted funding applications for projects demonstrating contributions to the aims of the Rural Development Plan. CRP was successful in gaining approval for 31 projects to be implemented during the first RDP business plan phase (2008-2011). The CRP is also one of the key partnerships contributing towards delivery of Conwy’s Community Strategy.Conwy County Borough Council (CCBC) has lead body status along with the role of financial coordinator & management secretariat on behalf of the Partnership & Local Action Group.Conwy Rural Partnership has now been successful with an application for RDP funding for four key fund projects under Axis 3 (Improving quality of life in rural areas and diversifying the rural economy):•Farm Diversification •Conwy Rural Heritage •Conwy Rural Tourism •Conwy Village Renewal and Development Conwy Rural Partnership would like to procure a Management Service which will:•market the four key funds that are available throughout rural Conwy County via all media through a bi-lingual advertising campaign; •manage each key fund to ensure that the funds are allocated;•help applicants complete the relevant paperwork and ensure that each application is allocated to the correct and most relevant key fund;•have staff based in rural Conwy County to provide support to community groups and other interested parties;•monitor all paperwork and collate said paperwork following the closure of applications;•retain invoices of all expenditure and invoice CCBC on a monthly basis in arrears.The budget has been set for each aspect of managing this contract. The contract is non profitable.
