Kirklees Intervention and Support Service (KMCAS-118)

Descriptions

The contracting authority has been advised that its application to secure funding from the Government’s Life Chances Fund has been agreed in principle. The 80 000 000 GBP. Life Chances Fund was launched in July 2016 with the objective of tackling entrenched social issues and helping those who face the most significant barriers to leading happy and productive lives. The fund is structured as a Social Impact Bond ("SIB") and channels external investment into interventions to tackle social issues. Investors are then repaid by local authorities on the basis of specified social outcomes being achieved. As such, the Contracting Authority is using this PIN as a call for competition to seek expressions of interest from economic operators, with the relevant experience and ability, to work with us, at risk, to co-design, develop and deliver the Kirklees Intervention and Support Service ("KISS") (the "Service"), which will be developed through a SIB via collaboration with an investment partner.
