Knife Crime Communications Campaign The Requirements: The Purpose 4.1The overall aim of the campaign is to reduce knife crime amongst young people across the Northumbria Police Force Area. The Campaign will raise awareness of the risks of carrying a knife and highlight the impact and consequences and address misconceptions around carrying a knife. 4.2This Campaign will use a multifaceted approach to reach out to our target audiences through targeted social media campaigns, including though not limited to: a)Design work b)Digital content c)Purchasing advertising space on behalf of the OPCC/VRU 5.0Aims and Objectives 5.1 The knife crime campaign aims to increase the audiences' awareness and understanding of a)why people carry knives. b)The dangers and consequences of carrying a knife c)The law in relation to carrying and using a knife including joint enterprise. d)Where to go for help and support.
