LA2397C - Irish Manufacturing Research - RFT for the Supply, Delivery, Installation and Calibration of a Mobile Scanning Arm

Descriptions

Irish Manufacturing Research has requested the supply of a Mobile Scanning Arm is being procured for use as a demonstration capability for companies to explore the technology where it is not readily available to industry and conduct research into novel manufacturing processes. There can also be a large amount of replication of the learnings across the sectors which would be reduced by using an independent test bed. It is envisaged that individual or multiple companies would combine to use this technology to address a number of challenges across their sector. The technology will be accessed by companies looking to explore advanced measurement capabilities on in-situ components in various sectors. It should also be noted that learning from this technology can also be adopted by other manufacturing sectors e.g., furniture manufacturing, sculpture designer work and architectural or building sectors (concrete production) could all avail of and benefit from the technology. The system consists of a Mobile Scanning Arm inclusive of contact and noncontact measuring capabilities.
