•A gravimetric DVS system capable of carrying out water and organic solvent vapour sorption experiments.•DVS with two balance systems (or two standalone DVS systems) allowing the simultaneous testing of two samples.•DVS chambers consisting of sample and reference balances in a vibration resistant enclosure.•Instrument design compatible with a range of organic vapours including acetone, propan-2-ol, ethanol, methanol, butanol, hexane, heptane, octane, ethyl acetate.•High resolution sample balances capable of holding at least 1 g of sample.•The ability to modify the sample temperature between at least 10 and 50°C.•The ability to control the relative humidity to between 0 and 98% RH for water and p/p0 between 0 – 90% for solvents at room temperature.•The ability to do step or ramp experiments•A computer containing the requisite operating system and software to run the instrument and analyse the resulting data including advanced software for isotherm, kinetic and thermodynamic modelling.•Delivery, installation and training.
