Laois County Council on behalf of Laois Local Community Development Committee (LCDC), he Local Action Group (LAG) for County Laois wishes to invite tenders from suitably qualified individuals/companies to undertake research, consultation and facilitation towards the drafting of The County Laois Local Development Strategy 2023-2027. The Department of Rural and Community Development has developed a framework for the LDS in terms of its structure and content. The framework is based on six main elements as outlined below.LEADER 2023-2027 LDS Framework1. Local Action Governance Model2. LDS Area Profile3. CLLD and Participative4. Strategic Integration5. LDS Action Plan6. LDS Financial PlanThe LDS Framework provides an overview of the main elements that each LDS must contain. While the LDS Framework is not intended to be overly prescriptive about how LAGs develop heir LDS, it should be noted that the framework and its requirements are linked to the LDS appraisal process. It is therefore important to adhere to the content required under the framework when developing an LDS.It is important to note that the contracting authority may require the services of the contractor for some but not all of the main elements of the LDS listed above.
