PIN notice for Retail Cafe and shop outlets for the Hywel Dda University Health Board (HDUHB): -HDUHB is considering options for re-letting the existing cafe and retail areas at the following sites: -Prince Philip Hospital (PPH): Bryngwyn Mawr Dafen Road, Llanelli, Carmarthenshire SA14 8QF;Glangwili General Hospital (GGH): Dolgwili Road, Carmarthen SA31 2AF;Withybush General Hospital (WGH): Fishguard Road, Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire SA61 2PZ;Bronglais General Hospital (BRH): Caradog Road, Aberystwyth, Ceredigion SY23 1ER;The HDUHB is looking for potential tenants to operate high quality cafe and shop retail outlets.The development will be a zero spend solution, offered on a leasehold basis (circa 10 years), where the tenants will fit out and regenerate the spaces, to create income to the HDUHB through rent and turnover rent.The space available for development is;Area 1 – WGH Cafe;Area 2 – WGH Shop;Area 3 – GGH Cafe;Area 4 – GGH Shop;Area 5 – PPH Cafe & Shop;Area 6 – BGH Shop (No current Cafe – this option can be explored)The above floor layouts for information are available from Alun James (alun.james@wales.nhs.uk). If additional “out of area” storage to maximise the retail space is required this may be made available dependant on specific requirements.The HDUHB seeks to provide high quality cafe environments and shop retail outlets, in order to improve the areas for patients, staff and visitors, whilst generating income for the HDUHB. The HDUHB is committed to supporting the Welsh Government’s vision to supporting healthy eating; this will need to be reflected in the development opportunity at each of the Acute Hospital sites.This notice is for Market engagement and information purposes only, at this stage, and will not be evaluated further to this PIN (prior information notice). At this stage we are seeking expressions of interest to understand the market.The HDUHB will consider proposals in relation to the following Lots: -•All retail Cafe’s and shop outlets across all four Acute Hospital sites;•Cafe’s only across all four Acute Hospital sites;•Shops only across all four Acute Hospital sites;•Individual cafe and shop retail units on each Acute Hospital sites;We will proceed to arrange meetings and site visits to each of the Acute Hospital sites with potential provider/s to review the space/environment for them to consider what solution they could provide.
