LED Street Lighting Replacement Programme 2018/19 - Supply of Lanterns

1BackgroundFlintshire County Council have commissioned and plan to implement a program of scheduled LED Street Lighting lantern upgrades across the County of Flintshire to replace ageing stock, reduce the energy and carbon footprint whilst maintaining a required amount of illumination for the road, path and open space users.2General RequirementsAll equipment must be compliant with the Specifications detailed within this document.The Supplier must comply with the W.E.E.E. Directive and any future revisions and inclusions to and for recycling associated materials.The Supplier will be required to provide technical support with lighting designs of main roads to meet the requirements of the British and European Standards during the tender period. This must be provided free of charge throughout the period of the contract and no additional payments will be made by the Council for this service.The Supplier will be required to pre-wire the Luminaires which must comply with Flintshire County Council, British and European Standards/ Specifications and shall be charged and included within the rate detailed within the pricing schedule for the lanterns. All lanterns shall be prewired with 2.5mm² Blue Arctic Flex to facilitate a luminaire replacement on a 6 / 8 / 10 / 12 metre high columns allowing a 14m length of cable to all lanterns regardless of luminaire, wattage or column height.The Supplier will be responsible for guaranteeing and delivering all materials provided within the award, the complete Luminaire including LED's, Driver, Cable and NEMA Socket all as a complete unit ready for installation.3Ordering/Delivery RequirementsThe Luminaires will be delivered in a phased implementation plan over the contract period with up to 750 units but not less than 300 units per week and the free issue lanterns being delivered 2 weeks after the award date.
