The University is looking to appoint a contractor to provide Legionella Management (Water Tank Inspection & Chlorination and Shower Head Cleaning) Services throughout the University Campus in accordance with legislative requirements, British Standards and manufacturer's guidelines.There are approximately 130 larger tanks in the academic buildings within this tender, 235 smaller tanks in residences and in the region of 3 239 shower heads.The University expects all the servicing to be undertaken by 1 contractor, the Residential tank chlorination must take place within a 12-week period, mid June to Mid September. All shower head cleaning will take place during the 3 annual vacation periods, Easter, Summer and Christmas. All academic tank inspections and chlorinations will take place as arranged throughout the year, to avoid clashes with the residential programme.The anticipated annual value of the works is 40 000 GBP3 yr contract plus possible 1 + 1 yr extension.
