LEM015h: Temporary Administration Agency Resource

Descriptions

Centrica plc's Cornwall Local Energy Market project (LEM) is an EU-funded initiative involving the development of a virtual energy marketplace. The trial provides homes and businesses with the technology and a software platform to buy and sell energy and flexibility to both the supply networks and the wholesale energy market. The project's overarching aim is to demonstrate that the electricity distribution network can facilitate an increased penetration of renewable / low carbon electricity generation by invoking novel strategies including flexibility. The LEM project will enable energy asset flexibility in the most constrained areas on the distribution network in Cornwall. To this end the project will install low carbon energy generation assets, such as natural gas CHP, renewable energy generation, storage, private wire networks, and demand-side response technologies into selected industrial and commercial premises in Cornwall. As a European funded project, we have a heavy administration requirement. We require access to highly proficient and suitably experienced administrators to assist the Cornwall LEM project in the following areas: •As part of its obligation to disseminate information about the LEM to businesses in Cornwall, our partners Exeter University and Imperial College London are running a Knowledge Exchange Partnership. This includes delivery of a series of information dissemination events over the next 18 months. We require administrative support to coordinate the planning, delivery and documentation of these events. •We are about to commence the trials phase of the project. This involves testing the local energy market with a range of participants (businesses and households). In preparation, we are running a programme of engagement with businesses and householders across Cornwall to assess and enable demand-side response capability. We require administrative support to coordinate this activity, undertake routine communications with these businesses and householders and maintain our records of engagement. A strong customer service ethos is required for this activity. •Throughout the remainder of the project we intend to run a series of communications activities via a range of media channels. This activity will be designed to both support our project activities as well inform others of our progress. We require administrative support to assist with the coordination of this activity, including assisting with the associated communication with our residential and business participants. Good coordination skills are required for this activity. •In addition to the activities outlined above we require resource to support with a range of general office administration tasks, including filing and document retention, customer service, telephone management, note taking.
