Lichfield Proms (Beacon Park) Premium Food & Beverage Provision

Descriptions

Lichfield District Council are seeking an experienced and innovative vendor for the provision of a premium hospitality tent for its annual Proms event at Beacon Park in Lichfield. To enhance the experience of the visitors who wish to upgrade their evening, we are looking for an offering to potentially include: •A marquee / tent where premium drinks are sold to visitors •A dining package pre event •Afternoon teas served (potentially 1-4pm) •An upgraded VIP (VVIP) package with a premium viewing platform •Collection of picnic hampers This is not a definitive brief and we are looking for a partner to help develop the concept and offering. Background Lichfield District is located in south-east Staffordshire and abuts the West Midlands conurbation. The District has two main settlements, the cathedral City of Lichfield and the town of Burntwood, as well as many villages set within a varied and attractive rural area. The City of Lichfield is an important historic centre, with a major conservation area based around the Cathedral, a medieval street pattern and historic city centre buildings. The Cathedral spires (the 'ladies of the vale'), are visible from many points in the wider rural landscape. Lichfield is well-placed for the new trend of its experience-led offer to attract visitors to the city. The city has a number of leisure and cultural venues and an extensive festival, concerts and events offer to cater for its tourism economy. Beacon Park is set in more than 70 acres of beautiful gardens and open space within easy reach of the city centre. Visitors use the park for a leisurely walk and a range of activities. Beacon Park is also steeped in history and heritage, and information boards around the site provide a glimpse into the area's rich historical past. Lichfield Proms in Beacon Park will be held on the first Saturday in September each year. The Council is seeking an operator to provide a hospitality tent to incorporate a high level VIP offering, prosecco / Pimm's style drinks and afternoon teas. Lichfield District Council's annual outdoor concert attracts up to 15,000 visitors from across the region. The family event starts at 6pm and culminates with a firework display at about 9.45pm. There will be a 30-minute interval around 8.30pm. Current offering Proms currently offers food concessions who sell alcohol and hot food. There is also a VIP offering where purchasers of tickets have prime viewing tables. For the first time in 2022, the sale of picnic hampers was also trialled. Financials We are looking for the operator to provide the infrastructure and delivery of the concept and would be open to discussion around payment profiles and profit share agreements.
