The Welsh Government is seeking interest from contractors to prequalify for inclusion within a select list to be invited to tender for works for a high level specification fit out the second floor of 3 Assembly Square Cardiff.The Welsh Life Sciences Hub (the Hub) is a high profile, flagship project being undertaken by the Welsh Government. The Hub sits alongside and compliments recently announced initiatives such as the Welsh Life Sciences Fund and the Sêr Cymru initiative that is designed to attract world class academics to join Welsh Universities.The location of the Hub will be on Floor two of 3 Assembly Square in Cardiff Bay, covering an area of 12,489 sq. ft. The purpose of the Hub is to act as the single point of contact and “nerve centre” for the vitally important and growing life sciences sector in Wales.As such, the Hub will need to be fitted out to a very high physical specification in order to impress visitors. The latter will include Welsh Government Ministers, foreign dignitaries, senior executives from the global life sciences industry, senior executives from the global venture finance community, and potential inward investors.The Welsh Government will be conducting the PPQ element of this procurement exercise through the etenderwales portal https://etenderwales.bravosolution.co.uk .
