Fleet management, repair and maintenance services. 1.1.1 LCC is seeking proposals for one exclusive contractor to operate Lincoln hirebike; Lincoln's short term cycle hire scheme based on locations in the city and along commuter routes. Hirebike has been in operation since August 2013 and it aims to provide low cost access to cycles and to encourage cycling as a viable sustainable travel option. Hirebike is being used by commuters, business travellers and leisure users to reduce car use and increase active travel. Statistics of use from August 2013 to September 2014 were 1953 rents (139.5 per month on average) with ongoing growth still evident.
