Peterborough City Council Public Health are looking to commission a Lived Experience Recovery Organisation (LERO) and strengthen the approach to recovery to support the Drugs and Alcohol related work in Peterborough.
In support of this an information session has been arranged as part of planned procurement activity for Wednesday 5th November from 1pm to 2pm to allow colleagues to gain an understanding of the detail of what is involved in a LERO and recovery service commission and consult on the approach.
With contributions from PCC Public health and procurement teams the session will aim to give an overview of the following:
- The core concepts underpinning the LERO offer, and detail of how the Council wants to strengthen recovery services in Peterborough.
- The main elements of the Governments guidance from May 2025
- Examples of best practice models.
- The PCC approach to developing a LERO and recovery offer.
- An overview of the PCC procurement approach and timelines.
