The Contracting Authority is seeking to better understand the market for suitably qualified and experienced suppliers who can deliver the, Design, Fabrication, Assembly, Delivery, Installation, Testing and Commissioning, Operating and Maintenance Training, Spare Parts supply, Technical support, and Warranty management, of up to twenty seven (27) Cantilever Rail Mounted Gantry Container Cranes (CRMG) to the Port of Liverpool for use at the new Container Terminal on the river Mersey.The cranes must be capable of lifting all types of shipping containers over a span of up to 13 containers wide, stacking containers, six high, of various industry sizes up to 9feet 6inches, and have a minimum of 70 tonne below a spreader. They must be automated and be able to operate remotely and be capable of interfacing with an IT Terminal Operating System (TOS).Variant design for the cranes, which meets the defined performance specification and available footprint, will be considered.The cranes will be installed and commissioned in phases, with the first ten (10) cranes being installed and commissioned during the January - March 2015.The date for the installation and commissioning of the remaining cranes will be subject to further confirmation.The cranes will be located at Port of Liverpool.
