The TfW Station Projects team are committed to improving staff facilities across Wales and Borders network which will provide adequate rest and break areas and facilities for Operational train crew, Station staff and TfW Catering staff which are fit for purpose.The purpose of this speculative notice is to alert the market of a potential upcoming tender opportunity, to be advertised as a sub-threshold Works tender on sell2wales. TfW recognise the pressures facing suppliers in ensuring that they have adequate notice to line up resource to bid for work. TfW therefore want to take this opportunity to provide advance notice of this tender opportunity for improvement works of staff facilities at Llandudno Junction Station. It is anticipated that TfW will issue the tender over the next three weeks, with an anticipated tender return date during August 2023.Llandudno Junction - The staff accommodation comprises of a booking on point, mess room/kitchen, locker room, quiet room, ticket office, W/C’s, station managers office and kitchen, printer room, conductor managers office & driver managers office with kitchen.TfW require a Contractor to complete an internal building refurbishment of rooms identified at Llandudno Junction station to include the following elements:•Current staff mess room/kitchen area to be refurbished to a contemporary standard maximising the space available for seating.•Refurbishment of the WC’s, to be refurbished like for like according to the Stations Toolkit V3.•Current locker room to be redecorated with new paintwork and flooring to include a small bar height table.•Existing quiet room to be refurbished with new partitioned ‘quiet room’ to allow additional space for a mess room overflow.•Ticket office kitchen to be refurbished according to design.•Station Managers office to be refurbished according to design.•Existing printer room to be converted to a new meeting room (to include printer room).•Conductor Managers office and Driver Managers office with kitchen to be refurbished according to design.The approximate value range is £175-250k.
