This is a contract to re-design the layout and re-fit the interior of Llandudno Library.The main objectives are:To enable the library to deliver improved servicesTo increase the number of library visits by providing a modern and attractive environmentTo enhance existing learning provision and deliver innovative lifelong learning activitiesTo move to a more effective use of staff time for customer benefitTo increase the number of items borrowedTo provide people and their communities with the means to help themselvesTo harness technological developmentsTo provide a flexible space for community activitiesThe Budget must include the following items:Layout design (including colours and finishes) for the library, ground floor entrance,stairwell, and first floor rotunda.Staff counters and self-service furnitureStock layout plan and all shelvingDisplay furnitureIT desking (including privacy screens)Study tables and coffee tablesAll seatingSignage and graphics (shelves and directional) for main library area/ground floor foyerCommunity information provisionThe timescales are:Tender Period: 21/07/10 – 19/08/10Deadline for submission: 19/08/10Contract award: 31/08/10Installation date: w/b 22/11/10Completion date: 03/12/10
