Local Area Network

Descriptions

The Authority is looking for a partner to provide a network solution that is secure, robust, resilient and is flexible to changing needs. The network solution will include the replacement of the wired and wireless network equipment at both acute sites, and optionally at various community sites. The Authority will be willing to explore all revenue and capital options, including managed service. The solution must be flexible to meet current and future demands for transformed healthcare services across organisational boundaries. The Bidder must demonstrate the necessary expertise, experience and track record of design and delivery of large scale network implementations within the public sector. Bidders are required at PQQ to complete written proposals giving details of their capability to meet the Authority’s requirements as set out in the OJEU, including details of reference sites. Shortlisted Bidders meeting the criteria set out in the PQQ will be taken forward to the Invitation To Tender (ITT) stage. The ITT documentation is available to Bidders for information only. The ITT will be reissued at the ITT stage. The draft NHS Terms and Conditions will be issued for information only, and will be defined at contract mobilisation. Final contract award will be based on the most economically advantageous tender. Bidders are requested to note that the James Cook University site is a PFI and therefore any proposal put forward that requires changes to the building infrastructure will need to involve the PFI partner Endeavour. Similar arrangements also exist in some of the community sites which are managed by a third party.
