Local HIV Prevention Services in Brent Community.

Descriptions

The services will contribute to and deliver the following outcomes:a) Deliver an HIV prevention outreach and partnership engagement programme to raise awareness of the risk of HIV and STI (sexually transmitted Infection) transmission in order to promote safer sex practice among high risk groups.b) Community engagement programmes developed to tackle stigma and discrimination associated with HIV.c) Increased numbers of Brent residents from target communities coming forward for testing.d) Development of a referral pathway to increase rapid and easy access to services for the prevention, detection and management (treatment and partner notification) of sexually transmitted infections to reduce prevalence and transmission from targeted communities in Brent.e) Reduced late diagnosis of HIV of Brent residence by promoting rapid HIV testing.f) Continuous service improvement through development and innovation and consultation with service users and the local population.
