Machynys Sea Defence Improvements - Steel sheet pile cleaning and painting (V2)

Maintenance of a steel sheet pile sea defence structure at Machynys, Carmarthenshire. Maintenance will consist of removing existing paint flakes and corrosive salt from the piles, before coats of protective anti corrosion paint applied for the 4.5km stretch of defence which runs adjacent to the Millennium Coastal Path.This tender process replaces 66876, to which NRW did not award the contract. As a result of supplier feedback and lessons learnt, the Works Information for this requirement has been adapted so innovative solutions can be proposed by suppliers. although some of the environmental constraints still apply and will need careful consideration by bidders responding with a tender submission.Refer to ITT for the full specification / Works Information.Cynnal a chadw strwythur pyst a dalennau dur amddiffynfa forol ym Machynys, Sir Gaerfyrddin.
