Maintaining Essential Services after Natural Disasters — Maintains

Descriptions

DFID's aim, through this programme is to deliver new, operationally-relevant evidence on understanding how natural disasters impact on basic services in developing countries, and the best response to it, that supports more evidence based — and therefore effective — development initiatives by DFID and its partners in a range of DFID priority countries. The new research should build a body of evidence and directly identify operational solutions that are then taken up in programmes. The recipients of this service will be DFID. DFID intends to award a contract for an initial term of 60 months with a maximum budget of 14 800 000 GBP (inclusive of VAT and all applicable governement taxes). DFID may extend the duration up to an additional 30 months with a maximum total contract value of 22 000 000 GBP (inclusive of VAT and all applicable taxes).
