The Participating Authorities haveTSCD devices which perform sterile welds between plastic PVC tubing for the processing of blood components. NHSBT is to enter into a Negotiated Procedure with Terumo BCT to obtain maintenance cover for the TSCDII devices. For a period of 7 + 1 years under a contract. Note: other blood services are added as beneficiaries: Welsh Blood Service, Northern Irish Blood Service, Irish Blood Service and Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service and will sign their own contracts with Terumo BCT.
