Maintenance of ANSYS Licenses
Descriptions
As part of the research activities of ASTUTE 2020 and Swansea University College of Engineering, maintenance provision is required for the ANSYS licences jointly paid for by ASTUTE 2020 and the College of Engineering. This tender is for maintenance provision for an initial period from 1st December 2015 to 30th November 2016 for all licences detailed below, except the HPC Workgroup 128 licence. The HPC Workgroup 128 licence maintenance provision is for the period 1st April 2016 to 30th November 2016, to align the maintenance period of this licence with the other licences.Following the initial one year period, the University will reserve the right to extend the contract for a further period of one year on four further occasions (1 (+1) (+1) (+1) (+1) years). Price increases per annum will be a maximum against the prevailing CPI rate; and only upon the agreement of the University. The maximum length of the contract is therefore five years. The reason for this decision is due to funding being approved on an annual basis.Whilst this tender is for the licence maintenance until 30th November 2016, it is likely that continued maintenance of these software licences will be required until 30th June 2020.The use of the software licences is shared by ASTUTE 2020 and Swansea University College of Engineering. ASTUTE 2020 uses the software to work on research projects with companies in the Convergence Region of Wales. Swansea University College of Engineering uses the software for work on research projects. The University aims to award a contract as soon as possible thereafter and anticipates the selected tenderer commencing work immediately. Each tender should include 2 separate quotations: one quotation for the maintenance of the licence detailed in Quality cell 1 , and one quotation for the maintenance of the licences detailed in Quality cells 2 – 10. The reason for the two quotations is because of the way the costs will be shared between ASTUTE 2020 and the College of Engineering. Please be aware that the ASTUTE 2020 operation is subject to a successful application for funding from ERDF. In the occasion that the funding application is unsuccessful this tender will be cancelled and not awarded.NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
