Maintenance of Firearms Ranges
Descriptions
Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA), as the contracting authority for Greater Manchester Police (GMP), will shortly be tendering for a contract to provide maintenance services for its firearms ranges; including the deleading, annual deep cleans and repair or replacement of the materials. GMP ranges include a 50 m 8 lane indoor range, a 50 m 4 lane indoor range and a close quarter combat indoor firing range. The forthcoming tender will potentially also include provision of the same or similar services to North Wales Police, Cheshire Constabulary, Merseyside and other North West Police Forces.The proposed duration of the contract will be 3 years plus 2 optional 1 year extensions.The estimated value of the contract is based on current servicing schedules and includes the potential to replace some materials subject to age and use. Cleaning schedules are dependent on range usage.
