Managed Lone Worker System
Descriptions
County Durham & Darlington NHS Foundation Trust require a managed service provision of a lone worker system for approximately 1,200 users (the number of users may increase and decrease during the term) which will monitor the safety of lone workers, via the Trust's existing and any future mobile phone system whilst providing the capacity to call for immediate assistance if difficulties are encountered and be available 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. The Managed Service Provider shall provide a responder service to ensure a seamless lone worker service to ensure the health, safety and well-being of the lone workers by responding to alarms raised via the Lone Worker system. The responder service can be broken down into three elements: •A 24 hour, 365 days a year call centre facility to acknowledge and respond to alarms raised by the Lone Worker system; and •A manned (uniformed SIA accredited security service) response search for unaccounted lone workers. •Where necessary, escalating the alarm to the local Police force. The contract will be for 2 years with the option for a further 3 x 12 month extensions.
