The Cornwall Equipment Loan Service (CELS) intends to replace its existing community loan equipment traceability software system. CELS operate from two main stores, one for adults and for children. These are located on different sites. There are also approximately eighty sub stores located across the county. CELS is part of the Education, Health & Social Care Directorate of Cornwall Council. CELS sources and delivers community equipment across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. Ranging from a simple crutch to an electric hospital bed this equipment helps people to stay independent, receive care in their own home or help with their recovery following an operation or illness. The current traceability and stock control system that is used by CELS and prescribing staff; Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapists and District Nurses and Council staff is MICES. It is expected that CELS store will require approximately: •50 user accounts •20 handheld devices with supporting system for Warehousing, asset management, delivery & collection personnel •10 handheld devices with supporting system for Field Servicing and Maintenance requirements
