Management of Flying Start child care at Portmead Primary School

The successful organisation will be expected to deliver a high quality childcare service in line with the details set out in the Flying Start guidance 2009-10 and Flying Start Guidance Annex B(separate attachments included in tender pack) and any subsequent requirements received from the Welsh Assembly Government. The setting will be expected to work as part of the Flying Start team, ensuring that a seamless service is provided to families and that hard to reach families are engaged and aware of their entitlement.We are initially seeking to contract for this service for up to 36 months, but this is subject to grant review by the Welsh Assembly Government. The next WAG grant review is due before 31st March 2011.The Flying Start facility will be accommodated in a refurbished and re modelled area of the existing Portmead Primary school and building work is expected to be completed in May 2010.The setting will be registered as sessional care for 24 children. There will be x 2 sessions a day of 2.5 hours and each child will be entitled to 5 sessions per week for 42 weeks a year which includes part of the long summer holiday.
