Prevention and Early Intervention is at the centre of the Children and Young People’s Plan for Swansea and the Family Poverty Strategy which is currently under development. The Childcare at Swansea Children Centre will make an important contribution to providing a service to support families, provide developmental opportunities for young children and to enable parents/carers to work/train/continue education.We are seeking a Partner to deliver a high quality childcare service at the Swansea Children Centre in the Penlan area of Swansea. The Service will include a commercial full daycare facility as well as providing the places for children to receive their Flying Start entitlement.The Service will need to be CSSIW registered, employ staff of the appropriate calibre, achieve and report on outcomes and work under the auspices of wider multi-agency teams including the Children Centre and Flying Start. It will be the expectation that the commercial element of the Service becomes self-sustaining within 24 months.Subject to continued grant funding and satisfactory reviews the contract will be agreed until 31st March 2014.
