Descriptions
Parachutes. Manufacture and supply of an Aerial Delivery System capable of safely and effectively deploying Boats from the RAF C130J Mark 4 Aircraft. The Aerial Delivery System will comprise a platform and parachute system capable of holding and air despatching current and planned Littoral Patrol and Maritime Interdiction Boats into water. The System will allow the deployment of boats up-to circa 6 300 kg in weight, just over 9 m length, 2.7 m wide and 2 m high. Tenderers will be required to supply a sample System for technical evaluation in accordance with the contract award criteria. The Authority is considering the provision of a nominal sum only to support the provision and assessment of the sample. Further detail will be provided within the Tender documents.
