Mapping sites for alternative use of dredge material in the North East

Descriptions

The objectives of this project are as follows: 1. map existing sites of dredging activity in the north east, north west, south east and south west marine plan areas and where dredged material has been used 'alternatively' in activities rather than depositing at sea. (Note; we expect this objective to be quick and require minimal resources as the MMO will supply the spatial extent data to be mapped. Resources for the work should be focused on objective 2) 2. map potential future sites for dredging activity and where the material could be used/is needed alternatively in the future. This could be informed by estuary management plans, shoreline management plans, beach management plans and industry documents, such as Port master plans.
