The ‘Marches Regional Food Network’ is one of four regions in the UK to have been awarded seed corn funding to determine the viability of developing a Marches Regional Food Hub. The role of a Food Hub is to connect local food producers with public bodies initially - such as local authorities, schools and hospitals, making shorter food supply chains to benefit the environment, local economy, food security and public health.The purpose of the commission is to bring an enhanced understanding of the Marches region and to establish the business case for bringing the Marches Dynamic Food Procurement System to life, if proved viable.NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at https://www.sell2wales.gov.wales/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=124772.
